The "Saunatonttu"
Inspiration: The "Sauna Tonttu" (goblin) is a protective spirit of the sauna in Finnish folklore, who lives between the furnace and the wall. This small being, blackened by smoke, can be an old man or woman, and demands silence and respect from those using the sauna. If treated well, it ensures pleasant steam and good fortune. On the other hand, provoking it with shouts or swearing could bring punishments, such as the sauna's heat being cut off. The sauna Tonttu is part of the Finnish belief in guardian spirits and is linked to the idea of the sauna as a sacred place with a connection to the afterlife.
Materials: Brown and green sea-polished glass, sea-eroded slabs and bricks , and ink on paper. The glass comes from local beaches, collected with respect for the environment. This project aims to give a second life to what the sea returns, transforming the memory of water into tangible beauty.
Measurements: 13x18cm, framed. You can choose between a white, black, or wooden frame.
Technique: Manual composition of unique glass fragments, superimposed on an illustration made in watercolor and ink.
Ideal for: Adding a touch of nature and serenity to bright spaces or as a gift with a Finnish soul, with a touch of the Mediterranean.

As these are handcrafted items, they are carefully packaged in bubble wrap to ensure they arrive in good condition. This usually takes 1 to 3 business days. Once your item is ready, you will receive a notification when your order ships.
Shipping is free , and delivery times are typically as follows: Domestic shipping: 48–72 hours from the time the item is shipped. Shipping within the European Union: 5–10 business days. Parts damaged during shipping
If the part arrives damaged:
- Contact me within 48 hours of receipt.
- Send me clear photos of the damage and the packaging.
I will offer you a full refund or replacement (where possible), at no additional cost to you.
Lost orders
If the package is lost in transit, I will handle the issue with the shipping company and offer you a full refund or a new shipment.
Cancellations
I only accept cancellations if the item has not yet been shipped. Once it's in transit, it can no longer be cancelled.
